Default 997 Porsche Carrera 4S (56k = Ouch!)

The owner of this vehicle approached me with the goal of winter protection in mind. He read my past threads, particularly my work with a Speed Yellow Cayman S, and really appreciated my attention to detail. He also appreciated how in depth my explanations of my services were, and how easy I made it to understand.

After an inspect with a Brinkmann Xenon light, it was determined that the owner took very good care of his Porsche as it was about 95% swirl free – my first client yet with near perfect paint. Easy day then, huh? Well, not quite so fast.

Because the vehicle was in such good condition, nothing less than perfect would suffice for both interior and exterior. Beginning with the interior, I removed all the mats and began vacuuming the rear seats.

The interior was very lightly soiled, and so it was perfected in about one hour.

Then the vehicle was removed from the garage and inspected in natural light before proceeding with a two bucket wash. This day was bitterly cold for October.

The finish was lightly soiled, save for moderate road grime across the lower half of the vehicle.

It was quite cool outside and there were no washing shots because of it. The vehicle was pulled back inside and clayed with Riccardo clay and ONR clay lubricant.

The gloss has improved tremendously already.

Then, it's on to the correction. Although the finish was in good condition, there will still a few swirls and so I needed more cut. I used White Lake Country pads with 1Z HGP for a bit more bite.

1Z HGP was gumming up the pads very quickly and I had to reduce the working time significantly. The finish was still exceptionally good. It was inspected in the full sun and was almost hologram free except for a small 2x2 section on the center of the hood, closest to the windshield. This section was re-polished by PC with a 4" White pad and HGP.

The windows have yet to be finished as you can see in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th photographs.

After the correction was complete, a layer of KAIO was applied and topped with a coat of Swissvax Saphir by hand.

I am GTA, north of the city close to Markham. I do mostly mobile work so I'll come to you, and work entirely in your garage (I work 12 months of the year). If you need anything at all, you can email me. I'll put my email address in my profile.

EDIT: Just click on my name and it gives you the option to email me.
