Default best way to "polish" cone damge to stone guard?

after a recent TT, i came away with a pretty significant cone burn on my driverside stone guard.

sigh, i always tape uf for AX, but figured, how will i hit a cone during a TT?
answer, the guy i was preparing to pass hit one and voila, there it was in front of me.

any suggestions how to improve this?
it's not a cone - rubber smear, it's more like actual friction damage to the guard.

thanks

Craig

If the film itself is damaged, as in like a curb rash to a wheel where material is roughed up, then rubbing it out or trying to polish it out isn't going to do much of anything.

We have been able to cut damaged pieces out and replace them on bumpers and such but this depends mainly on where the damage is.

Can you post up a picture?
