How deep are the scratches? I've only had success at removing light swirls from plastic but I've never had anything worse to deal with so I'm uncertain what can be done.

A friend used Flitz to remove hazing and scratches in plastic but again I can't comment on long term outcome.

Maybe someone can chime in on other suggestions.

There are several treads online talking about using nail polish removal.

Do you have a polishing pad you can use with the random orbital? You'll also want to set the speed higher on the orbital to do a bit of work.

If that doesn't work you can use a paint polish (if you have one) and follow it with the PlastX.

I've never heard of using nail polish remover (acetone) to remove scratches in plastic. I'll have to learn more about that one. Either way you would want to be careful which I'm sure is noted in previous posts mentioned by Ron.

Depending on the orbital, you may not be able to get the results.

I've used several types of orbitals and the only ones capable of really doing any work are the higher end machines from porter cable, griots (probabl a porter cable) or similar with speed settings and good power. Can you post the model orbital you have?
