Default Advice needed 95 993 cab

This weekend I borrowed a Griot machine and detailed my car using Zaino products.
Well, my car has 91xxx miles on it and the Zaino compound did not touch some of the scratches and imperfections on the front bumper and front of the hood.
Additionally, the Zaino streaked, so I am a bit miffed considering how long I spend on the darn thing
Anythoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Also, where can I buy the PS21 wheel cleaner in regular part store?
Thanks

Ron, What pad are you using with ZPC? ZPC is mostly a finishing type polish depending on what pad you are using.

How much zaino Z2/5 did you apply to the car? You should be albe to do 2-3x with less then a half ounce. So if you where using too much that would cause the streaking. If Z6 will not remove the streaking, try a damp quality MF and wipe down the enitre car.

I used a yellow Meguiars pad with the ZPC.
I probably used too much Z5. Is MF microfiber? I tried with the Z6. Maybe I did not leave it long enough.
What should I try to really get some of the scratches and imperfections?
Thanks

mf = microfiber.

I'm not familiar with Zaino's latest products but I'd be surprised if Z5 removed any scratches. It does hide the really fine scratches well.

If you want to stick with Zaino Products look for a post by MrSullivan which links to Autopia and shows a how to with Zaino products.

If you want to try something different for mild paint correction you can try Meguiars Dual Action Cleaner Polish. It works wonders on Guards Red. I would use this with a polishing pad (Griots Orange) or Meguiars Maroon Pad I believe. Set the Griots Random Orbital on 5 and use medium pressure to compress the partially. Focus on one panel at a time and continue polishing until the product has thinned to a very light haze. You will need to follow this up with a milder polish or maybe switch to Z5 at this point. Finish with your wax/sealant of choice.

Ron, if you want, I have some Optimum product that I used on mine left over. I can bring some over to you the next time I head to the office in Lake Mary (sometime this week or next most likely)

General rule is (I think) if you can catch the scratch with your finger nail most of the "consumer" products wont take it out. Not sure how bad yours is but when I saw your car it looked good!

Let me know!

Thanks everyone for the post. Justin, I cannot "feel" the scratch, just see it under the lights. I will take you up on your offer, let me know when you come to Lake Mary. Maybe you will have time for a cup of coffee?
Thanks

I would consider using Menzerna SIP with an Orange Pad

and Menzerna PO85RD with a white pad this should fix your problems.

You can watch these videos they may help click on this

Phil,

Would the Optimum stuff work for Ron? I'm not sure how it does on non-clearcoat finishes? I would hate to loan him something that might take the paint off his car
