Default How to safely remove motor oil spray?

I had a drain plug come loose somehow and got motor oil spray all over my decklid and bumper. Whats a good way to remove it safely? Thanks.

Give it a wash with some dawn or other dish soap or even a water based degreaser, flushed with plenty of water, BUT please make sure after you do this you put some protection on it in the form of a wax or sealant.

I did a quick wipedown with detail spray and mf towel. Will it hurt to leave it overnight and wash tomorrow?

As long as you get the bulk of the oil off it's OK.

If it was going to do any damage it would of already done it. Brake fluid is another story.....
