Ragg Top or OEM Techquipment Canvas Care?
Want to clean and protect my cab top (just spent $3,000 on replacement).
Found the Porsche OEM cleaner & protectant online:
http://www.drivewerks.com/catalog/sh...PORCAR_pg9.htm
http://www.drivewerks.com/catalog/sh...ORCAR_pg10.htm
But also have seen Ragg Top products mentioned. (For all I know, Ragg Top may actually make the stuff for Porsche...)
Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks.

well the Raggtopp cleanser doesn't appear to be the same as the Tequipment. Either way the Raggtopp is cheaper.
My top is 7 years old and looks great.
1. Rinse it every week. If you can see the dust/dirt time to rinse.
2. Don't get car wash soap on the canvas.
3. Use the OXO feather tip brush to wash the top with the RT cleanser.
4. Use an Absorber type rubber sponge to dry the top, doesn't leave lint. But I don't recommend it for paint. Use a waffle weave towel for drying paint.
5. Reapply the RT Protectant after each use of the cleanser. I use a shoe box to keep the overspray contained.

FWIW-Rode & Schwalenbert Gmbn. (Germany) the world leading manufacturer of automobile convertible tops exclusively recommends Harrtz RaggTop Cleaners and Protectant. Developed specifically for cleaning, re-proofing and preserving convertible tops. Thats not to say it better than Tequipment
I will add this as IMO this is the most important single process in fabric top care- Allow the fabric to dry for as long as possible (preferably 24-hours) before using the protectant. An hour or two isn’t long enough, it may feel dry but that’s only the uppermost surface layer (using a protectant on a damp fabric will ‘seal in’ the moisture and encourage the formation of mildew)
