Removing 11 years of Glue
Hi
This is my first post on thsi part of the site.
So pardon my ignorance if thre is allready a solution to this.
I recently broke part of my rear badge and in replacing it, actaully removing it I found I like the car w/o the rear badge. However there is a yellow'ish (car is white) script Carrera in the paint. My guess its the chemicals in the glue reacting with the clear surface.
I would like to stay w/o the badge but would like to clean that. I have tried Mothers Clay bar, I have tried Mothers Wax cleaner, I have tried Meguiars wax and its still there.
Help Please.

Is it a literal stain in the paint or is it glue adhesive remaining?
If glue adhesive try some "Goo Gone" and then polish and wax.
If stained then it may need the attention of a qualified detailer to wetsand and polish. It may even need to be repainted.
I do agree though, it looks nice "de-badged"......but if a repaint is not an option I would clean the area up really nice, polish it well and then re-attach a new Carrera emblem. It will look super nice as it will be clean with no build up and grime.
