Default Wheel cleaner - damaged wheels

My cars previous owner must have used a wheel cleaner with some tough acids in it. I can see streaks in the paint on my rims (turbo twists) that look like drips. Has anyone else had these and can I eliminate them?

Most likely a noob used hydrofloric acid on them....a wheel acid meant for heavy encrusted chrome wheels.

If you can find a trusted professional detailer in your area then he or she whould be able to wetsand the wheels and polish them back out and this will lighten the stains but not totally remove them.

If you want them gone then they need to be stripped and redone. I have wetsanded many wheels and polished them back out to satisfactory results.

Good luck,
Anthony
