I use the CA Water Blade on my black 987S -- works perfectly. I use my fingers to clean up the blade after every swipe to make sure no dirt gets trapped between the blade and paint surface.

Default I used to use a California Water Blade,

and it worked just fine but I stopped drying my cars all together since I started using a deionized water system. Actually I do dry inside the doors, the rocker panels, trunk lid and hood but that's it. The system I use is from CR systems (I have no affliation). Works like a champ. I occassionally wash my cars in complete sunlight and never get water spotting. When you are using what is essentially reagent grade water to rinse the car there is nothing in the water except water.
