Default Removing 3M ClearBra

My ClearBra has become quite dinged and spotted over the last year and I was wondering how to remove it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Grab up an edge and start pulling....pull up and not so much pull back on the film.

You may have adhesive left over and you'll need to get something like 3M's adhesive remover and just work at it. If you get lucky you may not have much adhesive to remove as it can be a real PIA!

Unless it is warm outside you may want to use a hair dryer or heat gun on low before you start pulling. Warming the adheasive helps to remove it. I would also recommend keeping your hands as close to the paint as possible. You don't want to pull it up in long sheets. I find if you roll it on itself as you pull it works best.

I don't know if this has been asked before but...

After removing the 3M Film material or other brands, has anyone had any paint damage attributable to that film/adhesive ?

I removed all the film on my turbo, installed by the original owner over 10 years ago. No problems. Although there were 3 or 4 very small rock chips that were not apparent with the film in place. Apparently the rock had a major impact were the film was and the paint stayed in place because of the film. It wasn't until the film was removed that it was apparent. I would say that for this to happen if the film was not in place it would have resulted in much more damage.

I have had recently applied film that was damaged removed and replaced and it came off without any effort or damage.

When peeling back, stretch the film, this will help release the adhesive. It left very litte adhesive behind.
