In-line Water Softener?
Has anybody tried any of the water softeners available?
There is one on Griot's garage and also one on www.crspotless.com. I would be curious to hear comments from rennlisters who have tried it...

Been using a CR Spotless unit for about a year
I've used the CR Spotless system for about a year. A buddy I raced 911's with called me up and told me about the DI water now being available for home delivery and I jumped all over it. It really does work just like advertised- I just wash it normally, rinse with the DI water, and drive it in the garage and park it to air dry. Costs about 2 bucks a wash for me. Absolutely love it- specially on the wife's SUV

Did you see this quick discussion on the fundamentals on the website?
http://www.crspotless.com/index.php?tpl=secrets
This gave me a baseline understanding on the principles of taking ions out of the water and how the system does it. There's also some videos there of the product in action- it really does work like they say it does and beats pulling over two blocks later to dry off the streaks of water dribbling from the mirrors
