Default scratching in paint (white)

Hello all,

I just bought my first 911. In my overwhelming joy in owning such a car, i failed to notice that there are many many fine scratches running the length of my car. I believe the past owner might of been a crack addict and actually drove it through a mechanical car wash once or a dozen times. What does anyone recommend? I am planning to take it to a detail shop recommended else where on this site and have a rub down on it. Is that my best bet? Thoughts?

If the scratches are not very deep, just mainly surface scratches, then I suggest you do it yourself.

Can you feel them with your finger nails?

Let me know.

Default Scratched paint fixed

Anthony,

I had a detail shop do a polish and wax, double time, and that seems to have removed all the surface scratching and the car looks great. It appears to have been just a badly needed rub down and wax. Thanks!
