Watch the latest obsessed garage if you’re on the fence about PPF
This is the internet, where we all hide behind anonymity and act all tough…
But this is a horrible post, my friend. No link, it’s not their last video, and I’m not sure if you are pro or con PPF.
You took the time to come here after watching a video and post, perhaps take 5 more seconds and do it in a way that doesn’t involve clairvoyance from others?

Random dude decides to remove his PPF himself instead of letting his installer do it, messes up (on purpose?) then makes a video about it to farm engagement.
Doesn't make PPF any less worthwhile in the hands of a competent installer.

He's done it many times before this. He's a competent detailer

I lost respect for this dude after watching his vid on the 3RS. You'd think he'd fix and correct his self inflicted paint damage by admitting he's out of his depth, assess why things went wrong and go to or invite experts on his channel to remedy this f$#@ up.
Nope... buys another 3RS for 20 more videos of monotonous car detailing dribble as if nothing happened. If swirl marks are all he can handle, despite the fancy tools and garage, what insight is there to be gained except knowing 2-ply toilet paper has more resiliency than this!

Who would have thought that putting a big sticker on their car and leaving in on for years would have an issue in the future removing it? PPF sure sounds like an issue for the next guy to worry about, because who is going to drop an additional $5k-$10k every few years to remove and reinstall it? But it sure is "value added" when purchasing a car that's already got it on, irrespective of the length it's been baking into the paint.
"B-b-b-b-but it's got full PPF! The paint under is in perfect condition!!!!1!" Forget that, I'll stick to waxing and the occasional chip because that's life. But to each his own.

The paint only peeled on the side skirts. The paint on Porsche side skirts is a thicker paint to prevent rock chips. My PPF installer warned me about this peeling when ppf is removed. It is an easy repaint at a body shop, or replace with the black GT3 ones.
I've had 2 year old PPF replaced on my 992, 5 year old PPF replaced on my truck, and 90 day old PPF removed off fresh paint (30 days old) on my truck. Never had an issue with paint lift.
