89 911 non-leather dash care?
According to my options list, my 89 911 does not have the leather dash. It’s currently pristine. What’s the best way to care for it? I do use a sunshade when parked in the sun, but looking for products that I should be using to keep the material (plastic?) from degrading.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Agreed on the 303, that’s what I’ve been using on all my vinyl dashed Porsches for decades now and it’s excellent. You may need to wipe it down a couple of times after application to get it perfectly uniform.

as for proper care, 1-2x per year, a nice clean and conditioning will preserve
as many have mentioned, 303 is a great product…CarPro Perl is also excellent and can be used in many other places on the car since the formulation can be diluted for different applications
just stay away from armor all 🤪

I do like 303 and have used it for years (I remember the years when hunting it down was nearly impossible, now its readily available at stores or Amazon) -- however recently I have changed my interior protectant to Cockpit Cleaner Premium by Nextzett / Einzett. It's German, and apparently has the UV protectants as well. https://nextzettusa.com/interior/vin...-plastic-care/
Two things I have never liked about 303 is
1) the need to apply it and then give it a slight buff after ... not required with the Cockpit Cleaner
2) I find the smell rather unpleasant after sun exposure ...
I prefer the Cockpit Cleaner as it doesn't leave weird residue on other surfaces like chromes, aluminum trims or even if you get a little bit on leather here or there.
I've also subbed out 303 for Ceramic trim treatments on the exterior plastics of my car. I do still keep 303 around and use it regularly, just prefer Nextzett stuff on the interior .
Also. Best method to apply to rag/cloth and not spray it on the dashboard. Detailers trick!
My 911 and 944 Turbo are *never* (not even for 10 minutes) parked outside in the sun without a sunshade. Best advice a friend ever gave me was -- sunshade every time, no exceptions. Annoys my better half but... limits the heat and UV exposure to when I'm driving the vehicles.

the most important thing you’re doing, and main reason for the pristine dash, is the sunshade…so keep that up 👌
