Default

Blow the dust off or you will scratch the painted surface sooner or later. Best idea, just rinse the dust off and blow dry or rinse using something like Bilt Hamber Pre-Rinse and the the dust slides right off a well prepped surface. All this can be done inside 10 minutes and you are ready to go.

Default Use a Swiffer

OP,
Follow the suggestion above, or use a fluffed "Swiffer" on a short handle. When the Swiffer looks a bit dirty just throw it and put on a new Swiffer (refill) on the handle. Cheaper than a wooi duster and much more friendly to your car's finish. The fixed wool duster on its wood handle continues, each time it is used, to collect dust and dirt particles (there is no good way to clean it) and eventually will put fine scratches (from the collected contamination in the "wool") in your clear coat or paint over time.. If you are going for form over substance, a wool duster is in your future. Type 2
