While I wait for my 911T to hit the dealer in a few weeks, the SA and I were talking PPF and he said they made the switch to using Revivify instead of the traditional film. This is a 'self healing' liquid ceramic coating that is 8mm in thickness and he said does a great job (and also has ceramic's hydrophobic properties) over going the film route.
Has anyone here used this treatment and can share experiences with it?
Agree with Jay here. I don't think of Ceramic Coating as a replacement for PPF.
I'm not disagreeing, but this is not the same as a 'typical' ceramic coating which isn't the same thickness and doesn't have self healing properties. So for anyone who does know the product, it could be helpful to hear that person's experience as it seems like it's only been around a couple years.
I would like to know more about the product. That’s why I asked if 8 microns would prevent rock chips. I don’t care for PPF on my cars but it’s a necessary evil. If there was an effective alternative I’m all ears.

I am going to call my SA tomorrow and see if he can introduce me to any owners in Denver who have done this treatment to get some 'real world' reviews, and I'll report back.
According to their website (the ceramic one), don't they have a bunch of satisfied recipients of the product?
Have you emailed the contacts on the website to see if there's anything in your area that you can go look at?
Just an idea...I'm a skeptic with a super thick ceramic coating that acts as a PPF'ish protectant, but...I'm also open to those that research it and report back.
Is it weird they're out of LA, but don't have any US installers? Maybe that's out of date.
I just had my PPF and ceramic done last week. The installer is coming by the house this afternoon to attend to a few bubbles so I will ask him what he knows about Revivify.
So I just talked with my PPF guy and he thought the product sounded very similar to Icon Rocklear which is even thicker than Revivify at 20 microns. He couldn’t say whether a 10-20 micron product could withstand rock chips as well as a PPF. He did remind me that my car probably has a 30 micron base coat, 30 micron paint coat and an even thicker clear coat. So in the grand scheme of things I wouldn’t think a 10-20 micron product would offer much more protection than a thick clear coat. This was his opinion and NOT based on experience with the product. He was just throwing it out there. As I said before I would definitely consider either of these products in addition to PPF.
Hi!
I just picked up my Taycan and I'm considering the Revivify Coating. Did you end up doing it? If so, are you happy with the results? I purchased from Prestige Porsche - I see you're also in Denver. Did you work with them or another dealership? Appreciate any advice!

Hi Riva, I did get from Prestige but I ended up doing full PPF with Ceramic on top of that. For my purposes with the 911 (several track days per year) I wanted the extra protection of the PPF. Depending on your purposes with the Taycan, the ceramic might be great. I will say the Prestige price for 2 coats was actually competitive, unlike typical dealer upcharges, based on my shopping around.
Thanks Merrion! I appreciate the feedback. My Taycan is for daily use and I live up on lookout mtn so I'm on I-70 all the time. Sounds like I would be fine with one or the other - do they basically do the same thing only Revivify is self-healing? Thanks for letting me know about the competitive pricing. I'm also doing some shopping around.

Yes, Revivify similar to ceramic with the self-healing. This was the first time I've ever done ceramic, WOW does it make cleaning easy!
I know this thread is old/somewhat recent. I ran across it on the web and I wasn't a member. I was intrigued by the comments and discussions about Revivify Coatings. I'm a representative of the brand in America so I joined this group to help answer questions about the product. I see some of you have made your choice in protection for your vehicle and that's ok, but maybe in the future, and with the right information, Revivify will be a great choice for you. I'm also an installer of the product in my shop and I'm extremely happy with what the product does and the performance it's giving my clients so if any of you have questions, please ask.
