Bug and Tar Remover that's Ceramic Coat Safe?
Hi all, my car has a front clip PPF and a "FEYNLAB" ceramic coat all over.
I'm having some stubborn black tar/grease areas that are difficult to remove from the paint. There's a smudge on the rear bumper from a touch of a greasy hand while working under the car. The other spots are on the edges of the PPF/Quarter Panel film behind the doors. I can run my fingernail along the edge of the PPF which helps get some of that grease/tar off but it can smear and become very very thick and stubborn.
Koch GSF (Gentle Snow Foam) and a pressure washer that outputs 1.9 GPM and 1100 PSI can't do the trick.... Sometimes rubbing it off with the skin of my finger tip can get some off.
I know I shouldn't clay ceramic coated paint, but what should I do or what product should I use? Can someone name a bug and tar remover that's safe on ceramic coats/PPF?

I'd contact Carpro and check if TarX is safe. It's been my go to bug and tar remover for years and have not noticed any issues on ceramic coating or Carpro Reload, but I'd want to confirm prior to using.

Not sure if it's safe, but call Griot's and ask if their Track spray is safe for this job. I find it very hood at removing bugs and tar from my cars and it seems to be all chemical/liquid and nothing abrasive. Ceramic should only come off with physical abrasion. Check out Pan the Organizer's YouTube video on the subject. I know because I'm looking for a safe way to strip ceramic right now (on top of PPF) and everything points to the fact that it needs to be physically removed, not chemically.
Wait, here, it's in my history! lol
