Default cQuartz

I just purchased a Porsche (Miami Blue), and it has a cQuartz treatment on it. And quite honestly, the car is the shiniest I have ever seen.
I'd like to learn more about this treatment, experiences from other fellow Porsche owners, and hear more about the care and feeding of this treatment.

Great product all around from the consumer version to the authorized installer only. If you like to wash your car yourself make sure to know the basic two bucket wash method and keep it away from any auto or self washes. If you are looking for maintenance products check out Carpro which has products safe for Cquartz.

I did pick up some "reload" from carpro, and apparently, the deal is using the reload every so often. And then refreshing the application of cQuartz every several years?
Not 100% clear on how long it lasts. But I suspect it will become apparent when water/dirt starts sticking.

I have CQuartz Pro on my 911GTS (and my Audi) and also use Reload to maintain the coating. Both made by CarPro.

I'm a little OCD and use Reload once per month. It's overkill, but makes me happy.

Just ordered some Bead Maker and will try that when it warms up in Chicago (which at this point seems like never)

You don't necessarily need to top it with something but more sacrificial layers the better. Reload can be finicky so if you find its streaky looking cut it with a bit of water. Depending on the Cquartz that was applied you should see a minimum of two years, I forget what the Pro and Reserve are rated for. Carpro tends to underrate which is nice, I haven't had a two year coating fail yet.

You may also want to look into the Carpro Gliss product as a periodic top coat to the CQuartz.
I recently (3 weeks ago) did a DIY paint correction and ceramic coat to my car with the consumer available CQuartz 3.0 UK (2 coats) with a top coat of the Gliss. First time ever using a ceramic product and it came out well. The only issue I had with the Gliss was it was hard to tell exactly where it had been applied to my white car, so I was careful to polish beyond where I thought I had applied it.

Washed the car for the first time yesterday and was blown away at the before and after difference, I felt like I could have just rinsed it, the dirt just fell off.
I use a cordless leaf blower to dry, and the little amount of water that remained just flew off the car.
I finished up with beadmaker.

The other Carpro product I used is the DLux for the tires and black skirts, great product.
