Good Porsche Mechanic in Chicago?
#16
Older post but very helpful as I think there are many porsche owners near Chicago downtown who are seeking a good/fair priced Porsche indy shop.....
i've had great experiences with Fischer Motorsports in Barrington. Labor is like 160 / hour and Rick the owner is a super guy and straight shooter. Doesnt twist your arm with tons of optional work.
I think Barnaba has a great reputation but when i did an oil change there it was over $450 for just that service (i do oil changes myself now) and they also gave me an estimate of nearly $15k in optional work (2004 996 TT with 27k miles) which i was a bit shocked to see.
am going to try Eurosport in Bensenville which has a great reputation but majority of their work is Porsche performance mods but they do standard Porsch service also, just hard to schedule with them seems as they're very busy.
I've not had good experiences with midwest performance cars based on a few years ago with Mercedes repairs done there but others seem to like them.
