Chicago Northern Suburbs
Know any professional detailers who can really make my 84 928 shine? I am in Spring Grove on the Wisconsin/Illinois Border.

For the first time, I just had both my Porsches professionally detailed, exterior only. I decided to do this because I've never perfected the art of polishing, yet, and I have all the top-of-the line gear. I am very pleased with the results. My Boxster S was about $500 (2 stage polish and sealant) and the Turbo was $700 (3 stage and sealant).
After much research, I selected this guy:

If you talk to Ivan, tell him Bill sent you. He will remember my Arena Red 993 Turbo. He also does mobile details, and charges accordingly.
Another option, closer to your home is The Last Detail in the north shore area. I've heard good things about them, but did not use their services.

I used Last Detail...for my Cayenne and my black 951...really good and they walk through the car before and after...they really pay attention to the little things...
