It's official, Moving to Denton TX
I will be moving to Denton TX, North of Dallas
I will be dragging one of the cars behind, (whatever one I don't sell )
I will be glad to get out of a highrise environment, where I can actually wrench on the car for a change.
Looking forward to meeting all the local folks .

Cars and Coffee at Classic BMW is the first Saturday of every month and attracts almost a thousand (!) cars if the weather is good.
RUF Cars and Bikes is the last Saturday of every month and is a pretty sweet GTG also, especially if you want to get to know Hans and the service guys there.
There was a big gathering every Monday night in Plano but I'm not sure if that still happens - lots of ricers and muscle cars.
Denton is a good little town - college towns always have a decent energy. I graduated from UNT myself and live just south in Flower Mound now.
Good luck on the move!

Well so far, Denton is a quiet little town. Seems people drive nice in Texas, not fast and stupid like in L.A.
I always have to check my speed
The 86 951 is here, and I think I'm going to keep it
I will probably be going back to LA, and driving the 83 to Denton TX. This way I'll have both here.
The 83 still needs some work, which I can do in Denton
Anyway, Y'all keep me informed when events come up.

Drove the 83 944 to denton !!
Made it fine the whole way, until I got 2 miles from the house
Ran over a 4x4 and lost exhaust and now have a leak, will get underneath it soon to check the damage
951 did pass emissions before I left, so I'll get tags on it and drive that while working on the 83
Y'all keep an eye out for me in town

944-Spec road racing series is really taking off in Texas! Check out the next NASA event at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson March 12 & 13th! HPDE tracktime available too...convert that 83' to a track toy with simple safety mods!

Welcome to town, Don! I'm in Crowley, which is on the South edge of Fort Worth - about an hour from Denton. I moved here in 1990 and like the metromess, but traffic can get pretty hairy in North Dallas during rush hour, so I do my best to stay out of that. Unfortunately, my office is moving to Las Colinas (Irving) at the end of the month, so I'll be stuck in some of the mess a few times a week.
I'm thinking about heading over to Cars & Coffee on 11/5 to check it out... are any of you guys planning to go?
SeanR, when and where does the 928 group get together? Do you have many 944's in attendance typically?

I am about 20 min away in Haslet down 35W...working on a 1986 944 Lemons/Chump/Spec track car. Check out thedriversedge.net for track events. Local PCA is good also.
