I drove the 964 up from Ohio (live) to Chicago (work) as I'm heading to the BRIC/Kohler Int'l races at Road America this weekend....
I'm in need of an oil change, about to hit 11 months (and 2800 miles... so much for trying to drive more this year). I'm in the Lombard/Oak Brook area - anyone have a rec for a local shop or just head to the dealer?
Also, any recommendation for a detail shop? The car is filthy and needs some washin' loving!
Cheers,

The common choices for routine service include:
Midwest Eurosport (Bensenville)
Perfect Power (Libertyville)
Fischer Motors (Barrington ?)
and, of course, your friendly local stealer.
I just asked the board about detailing in Chicago and got no answers better than the one I settled on, which is The Last Detail in North Chicago. They're busy (and, thus, hard to schedule), but they returned an excellent job.
I think you're making a mistake to limit this post to the "Central" forum, which doesn't receive a great deal of traffic - I just stumbled on your post. Why not post to "your peeps" in the 964 forum and/or the 911 and 993 forums to get more eyeballs?
Hope this is helpful. Regards to all.
