Default CPO not covering "Acoustic Failures"

Just picked up a 2019 Cayman GTS as a certified used from Kansas City Porsche 'Aristocrat Motors', and it’s been a dream ride for a few months—absolutely love it. But since purchase, it's developed this loud, ticking noise that's been driving me nuts, in the beginning it was every once in a while, but now it's happening all the time. Took it in, and they found something rattling around in the rear unilateral muffler. The good news: it’s not affecting performance, just making a racket. The bad news: fixing it will cost me $3,800. They are telling me that "Acoustic Failures" are not covered on the CPO. Has anyone heard this before? Does this sound reasonable?

I'm sort of frustrated, as some people are telling me that it absolutely should be covered. I'm just wondering what the official statement is.
