Advice Needed: Car Purchase Concerns
Hi,
I'm seeking advice on what steps to take.
Last year, I purchased a supposedly clean title, accident-free, low-mileage, two-owner 911 from a popular auction website. Recently, while considering a sale to upgrade, I obtained a CARFAX report and discovered that the car had a minor accident in 2016. This accident was not disclosed in the CARFAX report when I purchased the car. A bit strange that the accident was reported after 6 years. The vehicle was listed by a consignment dealer for the second owner, under whose ownership the accident occurred.
What would you recommend? Is it worth pursuing this issue with CARFAX, the auction site, the listing dealer, or the previous owner? CARFAX confirmed the accident report but refused to disclose when it was reported and posted.
