Default 944Fest Caravan Plans.

Well, It's 5 weeks away.

Last year I had the pleasure of streaking across Indiana chasing a couple of 951's .. you know who you are and -- I think you may have been a couple over the limit, then picking up the SW Ohio bunch and heading to the fest last year.. what a rush.

Anyhow - it makes a great trip even better.

Here's a place to plan caravans to the Fest- and make sure your reservations are confirmed.

I made a trip to Lebanon, (my first) last week, and it is a quaint town.

So, Let the Planning begin!

Hi Chris: I am in Versailles, Indiana (SE part of State). Would love to caravan with others. There are some fun roads east of Brookville, IN (SR 252) going to Ohio. Other possibilities also. Just let me know.

Anyone coming down I-75 from the north can hook up with me in Dayton, Ohio and I'll join your caravan. I've been to the Fishmeister's estate and can lead you in.

I'll be taking 79 -> 70 -> 71 from Pittsburgh out, and will be leaving on Saturday morning probably.

Anyone have a zip code of the location for mapquest purposes?

Sam: I could meet up with you on I74 in Batesville. (SR 129), or there is a rest stop right by Batesville. I will check my maps again.

Sam and Bill- I am on your way-, I'm at Cin-Day and I-75 on your way north to Lebanon..

Here ya go Kurt- 45036 is the Zip for Lebanon, Oh.

Oh- If you use Mapquest it will list 2 Lebanon's (Neither near Beirut either..??) lately Mapquest has been questionable.

Mapquest says to go through Peoria then Indianapolis. 80 -> 74 -> 275 -> 71. Does that sound right?

Sounds exactly correct. I made it here (Just short of Lebanon) from Peoria in 5 1/2 hours. IIRC another 6 or so hours from Des Moines to Peoria.

Been there, done that. Omaha to Cinci in a day on that exact route.

There is another route- I-80 to I-65 to Indy, then I-70 east to Dayton-then south on I-75, but I think it's a bit further and less direct.

There are places to hang.. I'd say an hour or so to Columbus Kenny-

Campeck- PM Perry951, I know he's coming up for it and willing to caravan- just bring a spare 10mm openend wrench for Brian. Will Aribop be there as well? cool..

(CROSS POST)

Anyone coming up from the South on I-75 through Lexington? If the Fest officially kicks off around 2:00, I'd like to pull out of Lexington around 10:00 am on that Saturday morning...Gives us plenty of time; my experience with Ohio State Troopers is...uh, less than favorable...
