Hoping folks respond... I've got a 911 T on the way that I'm trying to decide if I let Porsche do it pre-delivery or take it to somebody in the Northwest/Far Northwest suburbs to do.

This forum appears to be pretty quiet...

I'm visiting Simon's on Wednesday for a look at the car and discussion their recommendation.

+1 for Lustr. Ivan is a great guy and just finished PPF and tint on my GT4. It came out really well and you can tell he has a high attention to detail. There was another Cayman getting done when I dropped my car off and a 992 GT3 waiting to start when I picked mine up, so he knows his way around these cars.

I just had full front PPF and window tint done on my Cayman at Luminescent detailing. https://lumidetailing.com

Very easy to work with and took care of me. Pricing was very reasonable compared to some other shops.

Bumping for a shop near the western burbs. Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Oak Brook, Downers Grove, etc.

A friend recommended https://www.umbrawindowtinting.com/ in glendale heights, but I cannot vouch for them yet.

They quoted me $2950 for XPEL ceramic coating and XPEL full front PPF. Takes 4 days.

Here are a couple of my trusted shops in descending order of price:
  1. Brighton Auto Detailing (Naperville)
  2. Chicago Auto Pros (Lombard)
  3. 1st Impressions Auto Spa (Oswego)

Mine is going into Umbra today for full front PPF and Ceramic. Will let you all know my experience by the weekend after she's back from the shop. Thus far, my interaction with ownership has been pleasant.

JJ’s auto detailing in Orland is where I’ve taken my cars and they’ve done a great job. Off 131st and SW highway.

@Solidgranite How did your PPF and Ceramic service go with Umbra? Would you recommend them?

Don't think I could be any happier. They are incredibly detail oriented and ensured the PPF went on without any issues. The owner insisted I bring the car back after two weeks to check the ceramic coating and PPF in case he needed to address anything. While I was there they also washed the car free of charge. After this experience, I think Umbra has earned a longterm client.
