Porsche labor rate
Was quoted $325/hour here in Austin for Porsche dealer labor rate. Is that the going rate around the US?
It just seems... like a lot. heh

idk, i paid $400 w/ pca discount at a midwestern porsche dealership for an oil change. $125 in parts, the rest labor. since i barely drive the car, i'm like **** it, just keep it up at the dealer, but tbh i was kind of shocked when they quoted that amount. i might go indy moving forward.

Gatdang, I think my local dealer wants about $250/hour IIRC? Though that was a couple years ago, probably higher now. I usually go to an independent mechanic I've used for 15 years, but during that time, his labor rates have about tripled. They're now at $190/hour, which I think is still too high, but maybe that's just what you have to deal with when you want good service on a Porsche these days...? That or DIY, I suppose.
FWIW, the aforementioned indy wants half an hour of labor for an oil change and about 90 mins for a brake fluid flush. The latter seems like a bit much to me, but the time for the oil change is reasonable.
