2019 cayenne s dilemma

You can find plenty of good pics of the 2019 model from all angles online. After seeing one on the road recently, it basically confirmed for me that the rear styling is probably the biggest exterior change. The rest of it looks very similar to the current 958.2 gen styling. Only us 'car nuts' picking out the details would really be able to tell the difference. To the casual observer I bet they'd look the same. In any case, the exterior design is definitely evolutionary, not revolutionary at all. The interior styling is a different story.

Have the brother in law rent a car for 6 months.

Get the brother in law a GTI and be done with it. Can't let that piece complicate the bigger picture of what you're trying to accomplish. The concept that he's entitled to the car your wife drives is insane to me and buying him a $60k S4 is just crazy. Just my &0.02. I realize all family dynamics are different so take my comment fwiw.

I am a believer of you eat what you kill, so I don’t think I am buying my BIL anything. That would be up to him and his parents. Logically the ml550 to drive makes sense. However, we just heard he might be going to grad in NYC so timing solved as no car needed. We will see. I would think like a used Camry that held good value and reliable.
also I was at PEC atlanta today. Actually saw the new cayenne s! Given I am a car guy - I would have a very hard time noticing the difference from the front and sides. Very very similar- back is different and inside rear seems more spacious.
not so excited anymore- and seeing the actual bodywork- I will not be getting the 5600 sport design as it is not that noticeable and you could just paint the front side and rear with very similar results.
some pics from today.

That Cayenne looks so nice thats the color that is the same color ive optioned mine with.
Great pictures though. I wouldn't think you need the sport design because its such a new suv that before anyone even notices the difference it'll be years anyway its not worth the added money.
I would consider smoking those taillights though lol
Im considering twin turboing my Cayenne but then im thinking just buy the new cayenne except I wouldn't finance at the 118k Ive optioned mine too so I am still unsettled.
