I recently bought a 2015. Car is great but has this quirk I can't figure out. Opening the hatch lift gate is no problem. Closing it with the electronic lock switch works as long as I do it within about 30 seconds of opening it. If the trunk stays open any longer than that, it won't close. All I get is a triple beep and nothing else happens. I then have to manually close it. Once it is closed, I can open it and close it with the button no problem.
