Default PSM HELP!

Hello
bit of a horror story from a woman who knows nothing about mechanics and needs help please!
I have a 2004 Cayenne
A month ago PSM light came on. Specialist porsche scanner couldn't detect the fault. ultimately, thinking it might be a can bus issue they reset the way the electrics talked to each other, light went out...and stayed off for about 50 miles.
Light back on, took it back in, this time they replaced front axle...which was leaking. light off they gave it back.
10 miles later light back on. I THINK it's when I put foot on the gas that the light comes on. Gentle driving could be ok
Additionally .....just started to happen that as the car accelerates and moves automatically through the gears (it's an automatic) theres a v slight bump as it moves at each gear.....not big and terrible, but noticeable
My question is: is the moving through gears a drive shaft issue and would a drive shaft issue cause PSM light to come on? (Are they related)
Somebody said it could be steering wheel sensor (but no idea why they said this)
it feels like I'm crap shooting in the dark
I imagine I need to go to porsche dealer and get diagnosis there
But I'd really appreciate input
