Default Cayenne Maintenance

Hello!

I have a 2024 Cayenne Base. The mileage is ~4700 miles and it's about to have the 2nd-year maintenance.

Have some questions on the maintenance:
- is it required have maintenance every year to keep it eligible for the factory warranty (the one came with the purchase, 4 year or 40,000 miles)?
- what is a reasonable cost for it with a Porsche dealer? I'm based on NY / NJ area.
- is the maintenance fee negotiable or it's kinda "standard" for every porsche dealer?

Lots of questions Thanks in advance!!

Find an independent shop that does Benz, BMW, Porsche, Audi, and have them do all the basic maintenance for 40-60% less than the dealer. All you have to do is prove that an ASE-certified tech did the fluid and filter changes, and the warranty will stay active. ( by US federal law). You must do the recommended services and be able to prove they've been done. VW NA and AG had horrible profit margins in 2025; they will be extremely attentive in the years to come to warranty claims... so CYA and keep ALL documentation on basic maintenance and dealership visits.

NY/NJ, you'll expect to see $2600-2800 for a 10K basic service, 30K major service wouldn't surprise me if it was $3500+ in NY/NJ Porsche dealers

Going to a Porsche dealer and negotiating service is like going to Peter Lugers in NYC and telling them you'll only pay walmart $9.99/lb for a steak , when they are charging $69.99/lb ... are you serious right with this question?

OP has to go to a Porsche dealer because only they can reset the service and oil change warning in 2024+ models.

SF Bay Area is one of the most expensive labor/service markets in the US. For a basic 10k Oil and Filter change Porsche dealers here charge between $800-1000 which includes the cost of oil and filter (and a complementary loaner, which otherwise has cost associated with it if taking a rental/Uber). In this market, there are dealers who will reset your oil change light for $60 so long as you can show that you purchased oil and filter (several people do diy).

Where are you getting the $2600-2800 figure from? Do you have personal experience? Based on your input, an Indy will cost $1400, which is ridiculous.

You should do the required maintenance. It is time based as well as mileage based for good reason. Yes it is conservative. That said, it will not void your warranty unless the defect is directly related to the lack of maintenance. Just because you don't change your brake fluid every two years doesn't mean that Porsche is not on the hook if your cam shaft catestrophically fails.

Your maintenance fee is not negotiable. But go to an Indy. All this maintenance is very easy and Porsche charges twice the cost at least. Or figure out how to do it yourself. It is fun, rewarding and MUCH cheaper than Porsche or an Indy.

Live with the oil reset light if needed. You will get used to it and it will remind you of how ridiculous Porsche is every time you start your car.
