I haven’t experienced that error.

Were you working on the brakes or tires/wheels? Were you exploring control modules with an OBD device? Did you hit a curb or big pothole?

Original or replacement battery?

Were you working on the brakes or tires/wheels? No

Were you exploring control modules with an OBD device? No, chassis control error occurred on dash unexpectedly and then I pulled error code with an OBD code reader.

Did you hit a curb or big pothole? No, don't think so.

Original or replacement battery? Original LI battery was replaced 3 years ago.

Strange.

Take a look under the car and search for the wheel acceleration sensor. It is likely on the knuckle or lower control arm. Maybe it came loose or the cab is cut/chafed?

Have you tried clearing the code to see if it returns?

Digging around it seems there is a body acceleration sensor, inside the engine bay on the shock towers/wheel house. Not sure if the wheel acceleration sensor and body acceleration sensors are the same or not.

A PASM diagram showing the sensors and actuators would help but I don’t have one.

My cars have had lots of issues with rodent damage over the last few years. I will take the wheel off tomorrow and inspect for any obvious damage.

I tried but was unable to clear the code. The PASM controls on the center console are inactive now and I assume ABS is not working since I think the speed sensor is also an ABS sensor.

I'll make a best effort to fix it myself before taking to a shop.

Great news! Which wire and where was the damaged section? How was it repaired? Tape, liquid rubber, crimp connection or new harness?

The circled wires in harness under the hood near right firewall were damaged, see post-repair photo below. I didn’t take before-repair photos but several wires were broken and/or chewed.

I didn’t ask my indie shop about the exact details of the repair but error light is off and car is good now 😁.
