Default Need helping to decide 2023 turbo or 2023 RsQ8

Guys I have a 2017 Cayenne S that took a **** on me. Has 109k on it. Fourth time in the shop since 2024 and I have paid over 12k in repairs. This repair has a mechanical failure of heating system or so dealer says and needs replacement. Cost about 2500. I bought it in 2021 for $41k and had like 30k miles on it at Porsche Tysons corner and been bullet proof until about 100k. Ehhh

So looking at a turbo suv or RSQ8. Found used turbos between 80 to 96k on cars.com depending on options and used RSq8s for between 120 to 145k. Which one would you get and why? I have no preference.

Why the large price difference between RSQ8 and Cayenne Turbo?

Turbo for me because Porsche. Does the RSQ8 have the abominable 48V system?

no clue what a 48 system is and why the Audis are more pricey. My other option was a Bentley Bentayga a 2023 model. They go for about 130 to 145k with 10k to 20k miles. Its fast, way more comfortable and luxurious then the Porsche and Audi and I liked it during the test drive. Very hard decisions.

Rsq8 does have the infamous belt starter alternator, for some reason the only audis that don't are the sq7/sq8 (or not speced with the active swaybars). Cayennes with pdcc use the same system as the sq8/sq7(capacitor in trunk with 12v alternator vs 48v battery + 48v alternator). I think audi's logic behind the belt starter starter alternator was to provide better start/stop along with a small power boost going from a standstill but as we've seen most manufactures decided an electric motor in the trans was the better solution.

Fun choices to have! I think any of the 3 would be great. I would personally cross the Bentley off the list for practical reasons that may not be of concern for someone else. Limited production, limited dealer network, more costly parts and service. But others may live near a dealer and not care about higher costs.

So I’ve read about the 48v issue w/ the Audi’s RS6 which is what I was leaning towards but was concerned about so ended up buying a Cayenne GTS this weekend (picking up tomorrow) with PDCC! Dang it! Uh is there a useful link or something on what to be on the look out for with this issue on Cayennes??!?

Cayenne's don't have this issue because they use a standard 12v alternator whether they're speced with pdcc or not, just audi's with active swaybars (except sq7/sq8 for some reason) use the bsg.

Guys is there a difference between a 2023 and 2024 turbo? Im thinking more and more about getting a Cayenne instead of a bently or Rsq8. There's a huge price difference between 2023 and 2024 like 10 to 15k.

If you get a facelift car the gts now has most of the good stuff from the tgt (minus the turbos and the power).

so that explains why the 2023 is so much cheaper. Still think its a good value?

If its just a 10k-15k difference than absolutely but I'm not really familiar with what pre-facelift cars are going for recently.

2024 is a significant facelift year. There is no Turbo trim in 2024, rather only a Turbo S eHybrid.
