Default Diagnostic Scanner Advice

Greetings - I'm looking for information on what people are using as a diagnostic scanner for your Porsche. I've used the Ross-Tech VCDS (VAG-COM) on our Audi's for many, many years. This is our first Porsche so I'm looking for the equivalent tool for Porsche's. Any advice and/or suggestions are much appreciated.

Icarsoft is the least expensive option and they seem to work fine. I bought an Autel which I think is more geared toward the trade, also more expensive. With Autel you have to pay for updates after one year but if you already have your car downloaded it isn’t a problem. I use it on a 2023 Cayenne.

Default The vehicle in question is a 2019 Cayenne S

One of you asked which year and model...It's a 2019 Porsche Cayenne S.

I don't think I've seen the Autel option...I'll look it up.

I just got iCarsoft CR Max based on some recommendations here!
It seems pretty user-friendly! I was able to reset the oil change reminder without too much trouble. The only thing was that it reset to 10k miles/1 years and didn't see any option for mileage or date specific.

I used Autel MX808 for my 2019 Cayenne. It supports almost everything one would need. Oil and maintenance reset, active tests such as brake calibration, etc.

@MSCA it is 2021 Base Cayenne.
saw some videos where they gave options for dates and mileage but didn't see any when I did mine.i guess i just gonna have to track it manually. Been doing oil changes every 5k miles or so since the car sees mostly stop and go traffics (average 60-90 minutes to go 29 miles&#128517

I'm not sure about the year but why would you want to change the mileage or date?

Because i change the oil every 5k miles! In this particular occasion, the oil was changed almost 1k miles prior and I didn't have the Scanner then.

I don't think they offer a way to reduce the mileage. Not sure I would want to since my oil change at 10000 is fine according to the lab testing.

2024 base here.

I was hoping you’d say you have a 2024 and that you were able to do your own oil resets. I do 5k changes too, similar traffic conditions here in the SF Bay Area!

@MSCA I dont know if the Icarsoft would work to reset 2024 and newer Porsche. I work in SJ so let me know if you want to give it a try.
