Default Suspension collapsing after sitting over night

In the past I've noticed that if the car sits for an extended period (e.g , 3 weeks when we are on vacation) I come back to the suspension collapsed on all 4 corners. Recently however the front left collapses overnight. I'm assuming this is a symptom of a leak in the air strut. Anyone have similar issues? 2022 Cayenne GTS with 40k miles

Yea. I had the same issue a few months ago at 70k miles or so. Your shop of choice might hold it overnight to do tests on whether it's the compressor or leak in the lines. Ultimately it was my front left bag that had a leak and it's recommended to replace both if you're doing them.

Okay thanks. I did not expect air suspension issues so early. It's still under CPO so I'll let the dealership take care of it. I have to take it in next week anyway for water pump replacement #2. This one only lasted 8k miles.

My 2021 GTS sags in the rear (equally on both sides) in very cold weather (-30C) which the dealer says is normal, but it has never lost air in warmer weather even if left sitting for 3 weeks. And, I have never seen just one corner sink. I’d have the dealer check it out.

Oh yeah I remember your posts now about this issue. Interesting that the dealership said it was normal. Would make sense if there was a large drop in ambient temperature. But at a constant -30C I don't see how that would be normal. In my case it happens in a warm garage and outside as well.

Having extensive experience with vehicles with air suspension in the past, its recommended to have the vehicle on the lowest setting when in storage or not driving. In extremely cold weather, there will be air leaks somewhere. Air will eventually find a way to escape.

I guess when it gets that cold the seals shrink enough to allow some air to leak out. Why it doesn't happen on the front end as well they didn't really have an answer that satisfied me. But, the suspension pumps back up as soon as I get in the suv and it has operated normally over the last 4 1/2 years so I don't really think about it. I have a 3 year CPO on it so if something breaks, they'll just fix it.

Yeah. Ours is under CPO for another 2 years, so the only cost is my time (which in theory is still expensive). It's also annoying having to schedule a month in advance in order to secure a loaner. Hopefully they can fix both issues and I can be trouble free for more than 8k miles this time.

You are set with CPO. Great! If not, what would be the cost two replace 2 units?

I think my two fronts were somewhere about $4300 with shocks + alignment from a reputable Indy Shop. @ADias

Well now it's collapsing after just a couple of hours of sitting. Hopefully we make it the 500 miles home....

How did you get your car to sit so low to the tire? Lowering springs?

um

OP good luck getting home. I guess keep it on the lowest setting and maybe take some breaks so the compressor gets some time off. No idea if that will actually help but it seems plausible.

Does it lift back up when you start the engine? My car has never dropped that low. I'd head to a dealer.
