Default 2025 S e-hybrid options/concerns?

This will be my first Porsche after many BMW, Audi, etc, including several PHEV. Currently in a BMW 550e sedan. I appreciate all the tech assists in the BMW and understand that the Porsche is very option dependent. My needs lean more toward comfort/functionality than spirited driving as I'm in an urban, rough road environment. That said, I'd appreciate any comments on the option list from this 2025 - what is missing that you consider a must-have? Also, like to hear any comments from anybody who has done the BMW PHEV to Porsche PHEV swap (or vice versa). Thanks

I have had my 2025 S Hybrid a year now (6,000 miles put on it) and absolutely love it. My average fuel consumption over the past year is 61 mpg. I think I have only been to the gas station maybe 6 times, and that was mosty on trips. I get appx 51 to 53 miles on battery only, which is sufficient for regional daily driving. I can go weeks without ever engaging the gas engine.

My prior Cayenne was a 2021 GTS, which was at the gas station every 10 days. The V8 in that unit is outstanding, but a real PITA engine to work on for even simple oil changes (2.5 hours), which is why I dropped back to the V6 on the 2025.

Rear Wheel Steering is a great option, but not a deal killer if you are looking at a vehicle already made and ready to go. I have the front and rear noise insulated glass as well, because the quieter the car is, the better the Burmeister sounds.

The Porsche charger supplied with the car is kind of junky. Get yourself a ChargePoint as you will be charging daily and it's far more substantial with a longer cord as well.

You will find the Porsche is generally more reliable than BMW, as the miles rack up. Good luck.

Thanks very much - I agree that insulated glass would be a nice complement to the Burmester but I'm shopping used. I'm assuming that the non-insulated glass will not be terrible at highway speeds.

I do not have insulated glass on my '23 Hybrid and it's not at all a bother even at extreme highway speeds.

First, I made the incredible mistake of going from PHEV Porsche Panamera Turbo S e-hybrid Sport Turismo to a new '25 M5. Looking for another suitable Panamera.

That said, the Assistance Package with the Night Vision and Surround View may prove to be handy in your urban environment.
