Lithium battery problem
I'm hoping this is a common problem and maybe someone here has some suggestions.
i'm helping a girl/friend that has a 2019 cayenne. its been in my garage for a while becasue she lost her license.
I went to start the car and the battery was DEAD. Zero/zilch/dead. So I had AAA jump it, and it starts, but its showing a "charging system error" and after 30 min of running, the battery is still completely dead. She said the battery is about a year old and some shady boyfriend replaced it with a battery from Ebay.
Porsche dealer says there is no way this is possible as the battery needs to be coded to the car. Any thoughts on that, if it does need a replacement, I'd love to hear a way to do it without the dealer ($2000 with install).
Is there any chance that there's a computer error or something that happens when the battery goes to zero and there's some way to get this battery charged again?
any other suggestions?
