I'm looking for a charging device. I recently bought a Porsche Cayenne S (9YABJ1). According to the VIN it has "J0P" option (580A battery, 105 A/H). What type of battery it might be? LiFePO4 or AGM?
My Cayenne, equipped with LiFePO4 battery, has a different option code: J2A.
MY 2019-2021 Cayennes came equipped with LiFePO4 batteries. MY 2022 was transitional and had a mix of AGM and LiFePO4 batteries. After that all Cayennes have AGM batteries.
Using a charger is a very good practice for the Cayenne, especially if left parked for more than 10 days, or so. The charger type matters, because the LiFePO4 / AGM battery chemistries require different charging profiles.
To see for yourself, just look at the battery. It is located under the passenger floor mat and easy to access.

Open the battery compartment and see. The cover is in the floor in front of the right front seat. Post a photo of what you see.
I have used many different chargers. I previously liked the CTEK chargers but they are one-trick ponies and specific to just one battery type. $120 available here: https://www.ctek.com/us/battery-chargers-12v-24v
The Porsche Charge-O-Mat Pro is manufactured by CTEK and has the added benefit of having selectable charging profiles for both battery types. However, you will pay a lot of bucks ($260) for the fancy Porsche name on a CTEK charger. https://shop.porsche.com/us/en-US/p/...91eaf987f40f18
I switched to NOCO Genius 10 chargers and was pleased with the performance. Unlike the $260 Porsche charger, the NOCO costs just 99 bucks. It has over twice the amperage of the CTEK and has charge profiles for many battery types. One complaint about this and all the others above — it uses LED lights to give approximations of various charging stages. https://no.co/genius10
My new favorite is the Antigravity Super Charger SC-10. Worth the $20 premium over the NOCO, it supports many battery types and has the added benefit of a digital display. The display provides accurate voltage and charging amperage to give you the complete picture — much better than blinking LEDs. https://antigravitybatteries.com/pro...hargers/sc-10/

Thank you very much for the detailed response. Once I reach the car, I’ll check the battery type myself.

Thank you for the recommendation. However, I would prefer to opt for a simpler solution, as the charger is only needed for this specific vehicle.

Great! I’m considering the CTEK CT5 START STOP. Is it compatible with our AGM batteries?

I use CETEK PRO 25S. It is a large charger for AGM and LiFePO4. It has the advantage of providing 25A current in the "Supply" function, which allows all the car's receivers to operate without starting the engine and discharging the battery. It is expensive but it is a purchase for years.

Awesome Charger! We have two at the shop and they are so fast, expecially for Lihtium since you can blast some high amps at Lithium.
