Instrument Cluster went completely blank
My instrument cluster went completely blank on my 2024 Base Cayenne with 5k miles. Restarted the car four times as a restart usually fixes these gremlins, but it remained off. It was a little unsettling driving as I could not confirm the gear I was in, the directionals, lights, etc. Started the car a few hours later and it worked. Did this ever happen to anybody else? I already have an appointment for other electrical issues but the advisor already warned me that if these issues do not occur while at dealer there is not much they can do. I do hope these issues don’t impact safety systems.

i wonder w the digital cluster if something would be logged error wise because it is critical for it to work.
you are the first person to post on the cayenne forum w this issue that i can recall.
my 2024 coupe has 10,000 miles, never has the cluster gone dark. only issue i have is the - - - displaying for oil pressure and sometimes voltage as well, but if i simply scroll up on that tube then back down the values populate. it is a data issue not a display issue.

My 2023 GTS had the same blank screen numerous times with the Driver screen. After a while it happened more often with the Center screen locking up blank. I also had individual screen data freeze until cycling the ignition. There was a pending update of the firmware that never happened before buyback occured.
VAG is reportedly transitioning to Android Automotive...tthe Audi Q5, 2025 redesign will change over. I have it in my 2024 GMC truck and like it a lot. The new Macan EV is also going to have the Android Automotive operating system.

I haven't had this happen on my '24 base Cayenne with 6500 miles, but I did notice something about the brilliantly vivid instrument cluster screen (which I think is OLED): it's hot. Like hold the back of your finger on it while it's been running a while - it's crazy hot. Much hotter than the other screens. I'm wondering, is your instrument screen brightness turned up? I'm wondering if your display might have overheated, and so an immediate rebooting/on/off cycling wouldn't fix that, but leaving it off might let it cool down. Was it a particularly hot day?
As I said I've had no issues with mine, but OLEDs TVs run hot and have heatsinks and venting in them to combat it. These screens are new for '24 Cayennes and '25 911s that are just hitting dealer showrooms, but as I understand it they've been in Taycans for a couple years. You might try searching/posting in the Taycan forums to see if they've had similar issues.

From time to time it goes black.. No reverse camera views, etc.. My vehicle has around 104,500 miles now..
Sometimes, it turns red, which was more concerning to me..
Eventually booted or fixed itself.. Curiously, dealer was never able to reproduce it or find any error logs of any kind, which is troubling and blow minding for a vehicle that costs $120,000+
