Default Sweet Spot for 9Y0

Considering a Cayenne to replace my nearly 10 year old A8. What is the best year to focus on? I've heard early models have a battery issue among other things. I know in 2022 they updated the tech. Any advice is welcome. Also trying to decide between a newer base vs older S or GTS.

2023 Cayenne S CPO with <20k miles and as much option content as possible.

Later PCM has complaints but it generally means the car has an AGM battery which is far more desirable than the earlier LiFePO4 battery.

agreed
i just picked up a loaded CPO 2019 S with 31k miles and I love it. But newer is always better. I would not want the 3.0L. Hoping my Li battery holds out.

Either 22 or 23 should be good choices. The Li Battery is hit and miss in 22 maybe some in 23. Just look on the passenger side floor for the cover and take a look. The S will have the 2.9 turbo but the GTS gets the 4.0 twin turbo V8 plus more standard features that are options on the S. GTS prices have dropped so maybe worthwhile comparing the 2.
