Change the platform to a S trim and add the sports exhaust IMO

The form factor is different. The 18 ways have broader shoulder support that might be in the wrong place for your short wife. My CA told me a story of a 5' tall client who bought a Cayenne with 18 ways and the shoulder bolsters were practically wrapped around her ears.

So...try before you buy. We did. We ultimately decided that the comfort and adjustability outweighed the ability to have massage seats on the 14 ways. But we're both tall (5'10" and 6'2") and in particular I have a long torso. And I have wide shoulders, so the 18 ways really fit me well.

I opted for the 14-way and really enjoy the massage function...

I love the color, but me, personally, would rather have lighter colored wheels and a little bit more color on the interior. Black wheels seem to be played out, and it's hard to keep them clean just like the silver wheels, except you introduce scratching to the equation. Yes, you can clean black wheels without scratching, but man is it hard. They will not be shiny black for long unless you clean the car yourself with the right supplies. Interior wise, some accents would be nice to brighten it up. If I could build my car, I would get chalk gray with light gray seats and black carpet. Black carpet is one place you want it to be dark. My car is dark gray outside on tan/black interior and it looks amazing. Love the color combo and options. My car has the 21" Turbo wheels with the diamond polished outside and dark gray on the inside and they look great all the time, even when not freshly cleaned.

Full leather is something else I would personally stay away from after my previous car (a 2015 Macan) had the leather start peeling on the upper dash and the dealer said I needed a new dashboard and 10 hours of labor to swap them. I traded it in like it was on my 911. I never got around to fixing it and just stared at the ugly peeling leather for 3 years. Leather on the dash and full leather seats are great except for the peeling problem. My 911 has a leather dash with a bubble and it lives in a garage 99% of the time. The full leather does look nice, so if you do go that route. Tint your windows right away and have a nearly clear windshield tint installed to block UV rays. Also make sure the dash is protected with a leather protection product with UV protection.

Why would anyone need or even want a leather covered dasboard. That is ridiculous.

No matter what material is used there is great potential for issues. The dash is a very harsh environment. How many cracked non-leather dashboards have you seen? We go the thermal insulated glass and use a sunshade if it's going to be parked in the sun.

Your opinion. I wouldn't buy a Porsche without one. My opinion.

I do believe Porsche changed something with the leather on their dashes. I work at a Porsche dealership and I see a ton of older Macans in for service with the dash peeling exactly where mine was. I do not see many Cayennes or 911's with the same problem, but maybe I'm not looking close enough. I do imagine most 911's spend more time inside a garage then the average Macan. My Macan was bought with 60k miles when it was 6 years old and lived in Maryland its entire life. I can't imagine how it would have looked if it came from further south. The front side windows were tinted on that car since it was new, but nothing on the windshield. I absolutely hate people who tint their front windows the same level as their side windows, so you cant see anything inside. I wonder how they see out at night, however I believe a clearish tint with UV protection is required if you do get a leather dash. You also want to apply a product like Carpro PERL or 303 protectant on a regular basis.

I do love the way the leather dash looks when new, as well as anything else. The extended leather everywhere is how I would want it if price was no option. It certainly makes the interior seem much more high quality. If I was special ordering a new 911, I would want that. My 2001 996 Turbo has leather everywhere and its great. Still holding up well (minus two small bubbles on the dash) but it also has spent most of its life indoors. I would tint the front windshield for protection, but I have an original windshield covered in tint little chips. I figure if a rock ever hits it and requires a new windshield, I will do it then.

The one option I'm wondering about are the insulated windows. I'm wondering if they make you feel too isolated from the road. For her, more quiet would probably be a good thing though.

Thanks much.
I haven't read through this entire thread, so apologies if the issue I'm raising here has been touched on already. The issue is this: are you buying or leasing? If buying, no problem and enjoy your ride! But if leasing, you may have more equipment on the car than makes economic sense. Looks like you're adding $21,130 of options to a base Cayenne. It used to be, and I assume it still is, that there is a limit to what a build can cost for a particular trim level if leasing through Porsche. After that limit is reached, options pushing the price of the car above the limit are added to the lease at $0 residual - meaning, you'd be paying in the lease the full purchase price for whatever part of the car exceeds the limit. Or, stated another way, you'd be paying as if you're buying the part of the car above the limit because your lease payments will cover the full cost of the over-limit options. The limit is higher for more expensive trim levels. Because the limit varies by trim level, your monthly lease payments actually can be less if you get the next higher trim level car with your desired options rather than adding those options to a lower trim model. If you intend to lease, you may want to raise this issue with your salesperson before signing on the dotted line.

I have a 2024 Algarve Blue Cayenne e-Hybrid and I love it. Color is subjective but agree with what you say above.

I ordered my 2024 Cayenne S, which my wife sometimes drives. The one thing she wishes I would have ordered: soft-close doors. Her BMW X7 has this feature, thus she doesn't have to exert as much energy/strength to close the X7 doors. She has to try harder to close my doors...lol.

I have the air suspension and greatly appreciate it. In corners nicely, lowers when going highway speeds, & levels with uneven loads.
