Interesting video. May be useful for owners of new Cayenne with V6 engines. In V8 the oil change is a bit more complicated but still doable in 90 minutes.

Good video for the 3.0T V6 oil change. 2.9TT requires chassis cross brace removal because two turbos provide insufficient space to remove the oil filter, unlike the 3.0T base engine.

The mechanic makes no mention of the many store-brand and retail Mann filters that are usable in this engine. I use the cheapest retail in-stock store brand filter and the Blackstone results are great.

Surprising/not surprising to see mud in the oil at less than 1,000 miles. VAG does a poor job of washing the block and heads after machining and before assembly. I had glitter in filter pleats and bottom of the oil filter housing when I did the first couple of 10k mile interval oil changes. I have since gone to 5k mile change interval and no glitter is in the filter pleats or bottom of the filter housing.

I agree with 5k mile oil change interval if the goal is long term ownership. For people doing lease-then-dump then change interval doesn't matter.

 

I have to change the oil on the wife's GTS again soon. We are at 9000 miles since last change and just got the "oil low, add up to 2.1 quarts" message. No point in adding a fresh quart at this point.
