Driver side Window switch - driver's window button broken
Hello all,
So while I was at a drive through and as I attempted to open the drivers window, the button suddenly broke out of the switch.
Luckily I can just put it back and will still be able to open/close in certain angles.
I've done a lot of research on this and it appears a common issue on older models.
I bought a fake part of Ali Express, what I'm planning is to exchange the broken part with the new button, so I want to extract it from the new unit and try to retrofit in the OEM switch.
As obviously I wouldn't want the un-original version to be on the car, but it could be a last option.
So my question is how do I remove the entire switch, without removing the door panel? if that is even possible.
I could only find videos for the older generation.
and also if anyone has any tips on how to remove/install the individual buttons, that would be great.
Thanks,

have u looked to see how porsche sells the part? it would not surprise me if they only sell the whole cluster.
i would not put in a non OE switch. i did that once about 25 years ago w my RX7. ended up with little smokies rising up from the switch on a hot day after my girlfriend lowered her window.

There are many variants of this switch panel so I would buy the original. Yes, you have to buy the whole panel, individual switches do not exist. It should come out upwards after prying. When you buy a new one, you will see how it is attached, which will make it easier to remove.

Haven't found an armrest-only removal video.
Door trim panel removal seems straightforward. 5 plastic trim pieces to remove, then 5 screws, then pop off the door panel from its pin fasteners.
