Question Alloy Cosmetic Issue

Hi,

Please advise if you can, if there is a solution I can apply...

New alloys, but started noticing like mould type disfigurement in isolated patches (i do have wheel insurance from time of purchase) but this isn't physical damage it's like mould (i do live rural), any clues?

no expert here, but if it is somehow under the clear coat, seems like you'd have to get the wheels refinished. fortunately, it isn't very expensive. last time i did wheels it was 125$ a wheel.

Looks like delamination to me. I had a similar issue on one of my past Mustangs. Ford replaced the wheel under warranty.

If these are new rims and there is no any mechanical damage means they have a paint defect. What you call mould is oxidizing aluminum.

In the UK it is commonly known as "White Worm" , it effects nearly all cut and laquered wheels eventually.

I am getting mine powder coated Vesuvio Grey soon as the DC wheels are getting new boots at the same time.
