Basic Service cost
My 2019 Cayenne base is due for yearly basic oil change service. I don’t drive much this year so it’s only got about 2000 miles since last service and this one is based on time not miles. I am in Chicagoland burbs. Basic oil change plus inspections and top off other fluids is now…..$685.00
what are others being charged? These folks get $300/hr now for Porsche service. I think a $700 oil change is just obscene. Thoughts?

The $685 price really is outrageous.

How much does a guy save by bringing his own oil?

Life with high inflation. Labor costs in some markets have sky rocketed. I can still get an oil change for around $300. West coast is crazy expensive to service a Porsche. I will probably find out how expensive Florida is this winter as it’s looking like the 30k service will be done there. Best protection is to buy a service plan when purchasing a new Porsche. Too bad you can’t buy a service plan after initial sale.

The Motul cost me $103.90 delivered. The oil change service at the Porsche dealership totaled $193.00. My total cost was $296.90. The dealer originally quoted me $350 for the overall service if they included the oil (Mobil 1).
My objective was to be able to use a preferred oil product rather than Mobil 1. I ended up saving about $50 (and some extra oil left over if I need to top the engine off later).
The Motul Specific is Porsche certified - the dealer had no questions or issues at all with me bringing the oil in or them using it for the service. The service advisor mentioned that they do it frequently for customers.
I'm fortunate that the Porsche dealer here is an excellent one.

Dealer costs are silly. I do most everything myself but we know these cars are complex and I cringe at going beyond the basic maintenance.
