2025+ GTS orders
if you don’t have a baseline, you don’t l have an established norm or expected value curve for what should be in your oil. At any rate, nobody will insist you analyze your oil. Several of us do it. Many of us do not. I watch a lot of motor oil geek videos on YouTube. And I have watched a lot of other car maintenance videos. It seems like the norm for people that seem to care about this kind of thing is to advise a 5000 mile oil change interval. The manufacturer intervals are too long if a person expects the vehicle to run for a long time without needing a major internal engine repair.
When he sold the Volvo, it had over 200K miles and it ran buttery smooth.I personally think that it's overkill to change out synthetic oil every 5k miles but if it helps you to sleep at night, by all means...go for it. Exxon Mobil thanks you!

Yes, only 93 octane and frequent oil and filter changes since most of my driving will be short trips. Battery maintainer connected when parked for a week or more. I was thinking of adding PPF to the front windshield for any out of state trips because on my last trip to Canada in my Lexus GX470 my windshield got hit with a stone because of a construction truck spilling out dirt and got hit again on my return trip by another stone from out of nowhere! So that's twice! and my windshield was done! I don't tailgate so it was just my luck
So i'm thinking that PPF might be a good preventative measure on the front windshield.

@9YBBS1 on the windshield? interesting. i am not sure how well it would hold up. i suppose if it was ceramic coated and maintained w the spray and kept super slippery it would hold up for quite a while. over time i would think the fine dirt combined w the wiper action would scratch it. it wouldn’t be a big deal at first but after a while in a high rain climate it may end up worn and needing replacement. still, it may be a good idea.

i don’t really go in for ppf myself. if i get my fiancé the 911 she wants i would ppf that. but it would be driven only a couple thousand miles a year.
note ppf will will etch from bugs, but if you keep a bottle of spray on hand u can prevent that.

We were a a little bit nervous about the interior but super happy with it in person. Enough warmth in the colour to not make it too white (eg in some EVs) and enough black contrast that they work really well together. Adds to the sense of luxury, I feel.
