We need one in house for tuning. The mapping is different than the other 4.0T models.

We have a 2024 Base Cayenne. We'll let everyone know and make an announcement when it's ready.

Just flashed. The process was as described - 5 min of prep, 5 min of flashing, lots of scary lights, but they all went away. Power is smoother now, for sure. Didn't really test it at its limits, but I don't really drive at the limits anyway. You can also hear the turbo whine on the spool up - very cool sound. It was $140 for the flasher and $900 for the tune itself, in case anyone's curious.

So the turbos (2) are now heard....pretty cool. That's one thing I did like about the 2023 Dodge RAM 2500 4x4 Cummins we rented for a week last year to go to San Francisco and back.

Shouldn't be a problem. Only looks like a locked Extract process.

it would be interesting if a non dealer vendor can make changes to the 2024 when 2 dealers (one in the US and one in Canada) have told me they cannot yet make any 2024 cayenne changes. I bought a new steering wheel and they cannot enable the heating function yet. Porsche still had dealers locked out. they installed the wheel but until porsche starts allowing them to make coding changes i am in a holding pattern. now it is spring and it won’t matter until next Fall, but I also planned to add the sport exhaust which currently is the same status. the coding to add it can’t be done, yet.

You can plug and play with other hardware. We didn't see a need to change the tune. The factory exhaust stuff is so free flowing already since it has a massive cross section.

Hmmm, so it's not a choice between these two options, you need both to actually tune the car?

1. APR Ultralink - Tune From Home
2. Dealer Installed

Wording makes it sound like you can do it yourself or take it to the dealer so they can do it, for a huge fee - but this isn't the case?

The ultralink is 100% DIY. You do not need to drive to a dealer to use this device.

You buy the ultralink, plug it into your car, and then are presented with the tunes you can buy.
