2022 Cayenne Turbo Issue: High pitched cabin noises?
Hello!
I recently picked up a 2022 Cayenne Turbo (2400 miles, CPO car). This is my 7th Porsche (several GT cars in the Cayman and 911 range), but my first Cayenne. After 300 miles of driving, I've discovered two very annoying sounds in the cabin, and would like to know if any others have noticed these sounds. The first is a high pitched whistling that is definitely tied to the front cabin ventilation system, because I do not hear it when the ventilation system is OFF, but as soon as I turn on the front cabin fan, I start hearing a high pitched whistle. When I increase the fan speed over halfway, the whooshing noise of the fan/airflow through the vents starts to overpower the whistle, but it's still there. I've tried turning off the ionizer, and the rear ventilation, but neither of those seem to contribute, so I've concluded it's something in the front AC system - perhaps the microfilter?
The second sound is also a high-pitched noise that I hear when I'm applying light throttle pressure - in any drive mode. I hear this sound even when every other system in the car (ventilation, audio system...) is turned OFF, and it's directly tied to pressing the throttle lightly, as one does when cruising on the highway or driving around town. This sound is so high pitched it's barely audible, but it gives me a headache so it creates quite a discomfort on a longer drive.
If anyone has any leads on what the source of these sounds might be, I'd much appreciate any guidance!
-Chris

It could be the sound of the turbocharger.
