Default Dipstick for base

Curious if anyone has purchased a dipstick, even if just for temporary checking oil level while filling after oil change for 9y0 base? Part #?

I purchased the standard VAG dipstick tool with vernier level indicator. Works great. It is a generic, adjustable, tool that is used for a wide range (all?) modern VAG engines.

VAG part number T40178

Amazon Amazon

There is a list floating around somewhere that lists the disptick vernier setting for each engine. I consider that as a starting point.

I did an oil change, checked the electronic level on the right MFD, then set the dipstick vernier to the number which corresponded to the electronic MFD display. This calibrates the dispstick vs. the MFD.

That's my plan as well.
