I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the U2AIR Pro Wireless CarPlay Adapter that I've been using successfully in my '19 Cayenne S. I have not had to revert to factory bluetooth for calls and find that about 95% of the time it starts up in about 20 seconds. The OEM wireless CarPlay I had in my 2019 Macan was no faster and would occasionally cut out altogether.
But, I would be interested in moving up to full screen CarPlay and may try to reach Innovative. What was the process? Did you have to link a PC to your car?
Yes, he had to use my PC in the car. First I sent him the version number of my software. Based on that he determined mine needed newer software to run wireless so he sent me a download link to get that. I decompressed it to a USB flash drive and installed it in my car the morning before our scheduled time for the installation. That process took maybe 15 minutes with several system reboots. I was interest in seeing if I could notice any difference between my stock 2019 firmware and this newer 2021 stuff. I restarted from cold a few times and drove and tested and saw no clear differences in any respect. Raymond said the differences were mainly bug fixes and, of course, wireless carplay capabilities. That evening, exactly at 5pm, we connected over Whatsapp. I had it installed on my phone and computer and we used that to talk as he gave me instructions and I asked questions. I also installed Teamviewer which allowed him to connect to my PC and start the process. We spent the first 15 minutes with him installing new files on the USB flash drive for wireless carplay, full screen, and configuring the connection devices. We used 2 USD to Ethernet dongles and he needed to configure the one that plugged into my car. I then went to my car, plugged in the cables and USB flash drive, and using my wifi connection he completed the installation. He transferred those files from the USB drive to the car to replace others, which enables everything. I consider myself fairly technical but the knowledge, speed, and efficiency he worked impressed me. The total install took 45 minutes and everything was fully functional by 5:45pm.

Many thanks for the helpful and quick reply.
I've engaged Raymond in a series of text messages and am seriously considering either the "full screen" option at $249 (after discount) or the somewhat higher resolution "whole screen" at the discounted price of $595. It's hard to tell if the upgraded resolution is worth the difference ($346), though the latter would include a wireless upgrade at no additional cost.
You indicated that you chose the "full screen" option. I have two questions. First, are you satisfied that the screen resolution is at least as good as it was previously or, are you sorry you didn't go for "whole screen?"
Second, I see that you paid $249 for the "full screen" option, which included an upgrade to wireless CarPlay. Unless I misunderstood him, Raymond would only offer me a free wireless upgrade if I chose the more-costly "full screen" option. Did I understand your project costs correctly?
Thanks, in advance, for your assiatance.

I never considered "whole screen" and consider the current resolution all that I need. The pricing, after $50 Rennlist discount, is $199 for wireless carplay and $249 for wireless and full screen. I paid $249 and got the full screen and wireless carplay. Given the time he spent, labor is most of it. I have found that communications with Raymond for pricing questions has been confusing and I think that is because he has so many people he is chatting with at the same time. But this is all on their website too.
